To bad no one had built an Linux installer even they say it is for Linux too

Best to download now before Adobe ask Microsoft to close their github account.
But as it is a new account new code and not well known people (as i understand of the few minutes i looked) then perhaps a few windows security nerds in here should test to run it in an isolated environment and do a security evaluation so it dont contain any backdoors or unwanted network traffic.

Or even better if someone with coding skills in Rust and access to a large AI model can go thru the code and look so it all looks okay.
I dont have access to my big PC or my network drives so i can set up an isolated windows VM to test it myself.

Photoshop, sorry PhotoCraft, seems to work great.
It is just so fast to load compared to the original.
Tested on a few jpg, png for transparency, blur , lighting.
It has all the bells & whistles that come with the original package.
Impressive.

Hi All,

Saw that 2 days a go and tested the Acrobat clone because there are so often people on this forum looking for a free one.

Well, it's very much a work in progress, lots of stuff a bit awkward and the showstopper, No pdf from scanner.
Even the name, they use PDFCraft and PRINTCraft for the same product.
I'm sure they keep working on it but they're not there yet.

But I am so curious how this pans out legally.

Reverse engineering the source code would get them in trouble. There is a particular reason why they are doing clean-room development of this.

How could it be that using AI be called a 'clean room development'? AI works because it scarfed up the whole frickin' internet. The total opposite of a 'clean room'.
