hey Experts,
On my new laptop, I created a D-drive for Data, and it seems this is bit locked.
I deleted the drive and tried to create a drive again trying to unselect the bit locker related option but there seems to be none.

1. Is there a way I can create a drive without Bit locker or how to get one easily into USB drive (Do I have to enter Bit locker code every time, I want to access ?
2. Is it possible to move all he C drive applications and data to D Drive created and C-Drive used only for Windows.

Regards

Is it possible to move all he C drive applications and data to D Drive

Generally it's a lot easier to just install the apps on the D:\ drive in the first place.
When a program is installed it creates lots of registry entries.
These entries assume the program is installed on the C:\ drive.

So it's easier to just uninstall the apps and reinstall them on the D:\ drive.

Your other files (pictures, music, Word or Excel files, etc), can just be copied over to the D:\ drive.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Hey Experts
I don't intend to turn bit locker off but when I created this drive and restarted to copy the data, it is asking me to enter bit locker code, how annoying each time I access, it ask me ? or that is needed once ?
2. I am not seeing the new drive created in the System - > Storage tab so I can make this drive a default drive for downloads and apps running.

Or am I missing something

Bitlocker and Bitlocker Device Encryption are similar but different. Bitlocker Device Encryption is on by default for all drives on Modern standby devices with Windows Home version. Explanation and how to disable device encryption here.

One of the first things I do on a system with only one drive is to repartition the drive adding a D data drive. The earlier the better. There is a section in Windows where you can redirect the Documents, Downloads, Pictures, etc folders. However, I've found it to not be perfect and I also do it by File Explorer, I believe right clicking on C:\Users\user\Documents and selecting Move Location (or similar). Then I test it out.
I do create a D:\Installation Files folder to put my setup.exe and supporting files in, but I let them install to C: as normal. Software and data have different backup and restore needs. One often wants to grab a few data files for restoring, so backup needs that ability. Windows restoring on the other hand, is tricky. I have restored Windows partitions from my Clonezilla backup to roll-back after a system gets really screwed up.
