No.... it's just a "test" to see if you need the three little partitions on the external disk.
Sometimes during an install or re-install... the System partition will get put on a different drive than Windows.

If that happens and you delete the System partition on say... the external drive... then Windows might not boot.
So we need to find which System partition Windows is using.
The minimum needed to boot into Windows is the Windows partition and the "correct" System partition.

You can also find out with Diskpart... but that's @NavyLCDR's thing, not mine.
I do things the hard way. :D

The only little partitions left that I am seeing on your disk 0 and disk 2 are Microsoft System Reserved partitions that Microsoft likes to create on GPT partitioned drives. While they are not needed, they are only 16 MB. The effort you would expend in deleting them is not worth the gain of only 16 MB of space.

That all depends on who you are, Ghot. The diskpart way is much harder for those that don't like command line. I started with TRS-80 Model I and the dang Apple 2IIe's in high school that were nothing but command line. But....you try to get me into Linux commands... I'm as lost as a toddler alone in a Toys R' Us store.

The stupid Apple IIe DOS used commands that started with @Print if I remember correctly. That was B.S..

I would use Disk Management to do this...

1. Change the DVD drive letter to H, or even O for Optical drive.
2. Change the 1TB drive letter to D
3. Change the 4TB external drive letter to E

Using A and or B for drive letters is not a good idea.
In the old days, A was reserved for floppy drives and the same with B.
These days, it probably doesn't matter... but who knows what evil lurks in the mind of Microsoft.

I too started with the old, old stuff. But even so, the command line is like... Klingon to me.
And Linux is even worse. The sudo command just faffs me off. It doesn't "mean" anything. :D
