Do these steps make sense to restore a Macrium image on a different laptop?

I have a Macrium Image that I use on three laptops that are exactly the same: same components, same hard drives, etc.

If I replace one of them with a different kind of laptop, would these steps on the new laptop allow me to restore the image?

1. Use diskpart to create partitions and dism to apply the Windows 11 image
2. In Windows, I install the drivers
3. I use dism to export the drivers
4. I restore the other laptop image so now I have the drivers of the other laptop
5. In Device Manager I fix whatever exclamation mark driver problems there are by using the folder I exported to in step 3

There's a couple ways to do this, 1st easiest way is -
1. On the NEW laptop, install Macrium and make a USB recovery; In Macrium > Other Task Menu > Create Rescue Media. This will make a rescue USB that has all the proper drivers for the new laptop. 8GB USB stick minimum.
2. Reboot using USB Stick and restore the existing image you already have. Macrium will automatically supply the proper drivers, etc.

You can find a complete step by step by searching "Macrium Reflect Restore to Dissimilar Hardware" you'll find a link called Restoring to Dissimilar Hardware with Macrium ReDeploy (LOL, NM just click the link. I'm new to this Forum but a PC Tech for > 40 years ..)

It's pretty simple really, just a bunch of steps but works perfectly to handle this issue. You may need to re-run the Macrium software if boot problems and choose Other Tasks > Repair Boot ( or some such) but it's usually foolproof.

Clever, and it works with the free version as well?

Incidentally I don't restore images via the Rescue Media, I have a dual-boot environment so I install Macrium on both and restore the partition I want to from the other boot.

But I am aware of the Rescue Disc so if I understood correctly, the steps would be:

1. Use diskpart to create partitions and dism to apply the Windows 11 image
2. In Windows, I install the drivers
3. I use dism to export the drivers (just in case)
4. I install Macrium to create the Rescue Disc
5. Boot with the Rescue Disc and restore image and Windows should load with the correct drivers straight away
