Does anybody know where I can download this java update?

Does anybody know where I can manually download this java update?

This has been around for a few weeks in Belarc Advisor in spite of Belarc's own detection updates. Windows update doesn't detect it and I tried to update through Ninite and it says there's no update available.

Any help would be most appreciated, thank you.

That's for the java program, itself. I think the Belarc alert is referring to one of the browser applets which, if I'm not mistaken, is something else.

In the past, normally installing one of these from over at the Ninite website would have taken care of it...

But not this time. Looks like a dead end at the moment.

CpuJan2026 is the Critical Patch Update for last month. https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujan2026.html

You're looking for an update that says Java 8u481 or later. Which Java updater you need depends on which runtime you're using. You would run java -version to find out. For example, if it says "Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment," you're using the Oracle version and need to get the update from them.

There is no direct link to the patch in question other than thru the ones listed at Ninite

I’m not sure what link you’re referring to. You would get updates via OpenJDK.

Yup, I see it. I see January's release. It's in a tarball zip-file.

Thing is, where and how do you install it?

The tarball is a debug image, There is an .msi file there.

After installing that .msi file that @OAT referred me to, the error from post #1 still appears in Belarc Advisor.

I can also possibly assume it's an error on Belarc Advisor's part since they've also had errors in the past.

Does anybody know where I can download this java update?
