EaseUS: "Execute Operations" is always blocked by the "Buy Now" nag

I'm experimenting with EaseUS "Free for Home Users" (not the 3-month trial).

I shrunk C, then extended D into the resulting unallocated space. The whole operation was easy.

But "Execute Operations" is always blocked by the "Buy Now" nag.

Closing the nag and retrying "Execute Operations" simply relaunches the nag. Closing the prog, and re-launching does not help.

I would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks, but that does not help. The problem (I think) is that the nag is a "modal" window - as in this quote:

I can easily drag the nag manually. But, as long as the nag is open, "Execute Operations" cannot be activated.

Is the operation Part of the free version? Usually if the buy screen appears it means it isn’t so is asking you to upgrade to complete the operation.
I would use Minitool partition master which is 100% free.

AFAIK, there's only ever one download. The user then chooses the option during installation.

A load of those things are "Sneaker ware" - particularly things like driver search etc -- the bits you often want are usually not free - you get nag to "Go Pro". (I,E PAY).

For Free imaging / backup / restore of disks use Macrium.

For free partitioning including resizing use the stand alone bootable GPARTED -- create a bootable iso via RUFUS or if using Linux WSL or Linux VM - DD command.

Once it boots the GUI is 100% like any windows partition manager - although it can handle many more partition types, and also copy / clone them too.

I'm on a Linux system currently so using the built in partitioner on KDE but the GPARTED stand alone one is all but identical.

I'm using this tutorial:

If you open the tutorial, you see in the left panel:

- Move/Resize partition
- Extend partition

But, in my Minitool panel, these options are not available for the C or D partitions - no matter which sectors I select in the graphical representation of the disk. (They are available for the small partitions.)

As you can see in my OP, I want to extend the left end of D into the unallocated space between C and D.

You may have to move the unallocated partition to the end of the D partition to extend D.
Do you have a screenshot of your partitions?

I've regressed the unallocated partition back to it's original position - joined to D:

I'm not comfortable about leaving disk operations unfinished. I can start afresh later, and do the complete job at one time.

What is it you are trying to do? How do you want your partitions to look when you're finished?

The screenshot shows that the free space on C is double the free space on D.

But the number of new programs per day on C has almost dried up. On the other hand, data is added to D daily.

So I want to shrink C and allocate the released space to D.

Do all your partition adjusting in Minitool Partition Wizard.

Using Minitool Partition Wizard... all you need to do is right click the C: partition and choose: move/resize
Then use the right slider and shrink C: to the left, until it says, say 100GB.
You could also just type: 100GB in the partition size box, with all the unallocated space in the "after" box.
Then, down at the bottom left click apply, and answer yes. The computer will need to reboot to resize the C: partition.
Do NOT make the C: partition less than 100GB !

Then, open Minitool again and this time, right click the D: partition and choose: move/resize
Grab the left slider and slide it to the left to use up the newly created unallocated space between C: and D:.
Click apply and answer yes again.

That's pretty much all there is to it.

NOTE: Since you're on a laptop, the 17GB Recovery partition is probably the factory restore partition.
The 150MB EFI partition and the C: partition, are all you really need to boot Windows.
If you wanted.. you could just delete all the other partitions, and add them to D: as well.

This is mine. The partitions in the RED box are all you really need to boot Windows.
It doesn't matter whether the EFI partition comes before or after the C: partition.

The Move/Resize option is not available for the C: partition. It's only available for, from left to right in the disk map:
- ESP
- WINRETOOLS
- Image (NTFS)
- DELLSUPPORT

The only options available for C: are:

D: has exactly the same options as C:

Please advise.

You need to turn OFF... Bitlocker.
You can't move/resize a partition with Bitlocker, enabled.

I should have mentioned that earlier. But I don't use Bitlocker, so it never really occurs to me.

This is what you should see with Bitlocker disabled...

I turned off BitLocker, as you suggested in your #16. Then followed the process in the quote.

Everything worked fine.

I'll investigate your suggestion to subsume some of the smaller partitions into C and/or D.
