#2 Now that I moved to 11 I need a backup solution.
#3 I'm testing out the free version of EaseUS atm but there's a BIG issue. It is trying to call home every second, non stop.
#4 I've seen many people prefer Macrium, does it too constantly call home?
#5 If the answer to 4 is yes then can anyone reccomend a backup solution that does not require an internet connection? I don't mind paying for it as long as it's a purchase and not a subscription.

I removed EasUS and installed the free trial of Macrium Reflect and it does not constantly try to access the internet.
I still do not like the subscription model. I like to own things not rent them but with the way Microsoft is constantly changing windows these day I can see why they might be forced to use this busness model.

If you "don't see the issue" it is because you fail to see things from someone elses point of view.
Correct.
I removed EasUS and installed the free trial of Macrium Reflect and it does not constantly try to access the internet.
I still do not like the subscription model. I like to own things not rent them but with the way Microsoft is constantly changing windows these day I can see why they might be forced to use this busness model.
I can see someone else's point of view and still disagree with it. Hence why I said I don't see the issue. I'm speaking for me?
And almost all software reaches out to the Internet. Not sure why your saying that's incorrect. If you block it it usually keeps trying. I did say all though so maybe that's the point your focusing on.
And I agree with you I don't like subscriptions either.
With Macrium Reflect Free Edition you'll be able to easily make an accurate and reliable image of your HDD or individual partitions. Using this image you can restore the entire disk, partition or...

Hi,
You can take either off startup
I've not noticed free reflect doing anything once I disable it from starting with windows.
I primarily only use the bootable winpe recovery media so I never run the reflect app.
I could very well uninstall reflect and the winpe still would work to create/ restore system images.

Is there reason you can’t prevent it from starting up with Windows? Why do you have EaseUS constantly running? Is it constantly backing up? Could you not create a task in schedule manager to start it at a particular time and or day?

To automatically run scheduled backups it has to be running in the background. At least that's the way it works through the GUI.
I don't know if there are command line options that could be used to create scheduled tasks but even if there are, that defeats the whole purpose of the GUI.
ReflectUI.exe and ReflectMonitor.exe are running quietly in the background now and not trying to access the internet.

OK then. Well I have tasks created to start a specific program before it is due to run a task. That way it isn’t taking space up in my system running constantly for no reason when it is only needed on a specific day.
But if you run EaseUS constantly, the price is having it call home constantly.
I don’t blame you for wanting to find anothe program. I also don’t appreciate constant checks from software companies. Who knows what they’re looking at. I am not very trusting of these companies.
One last thought: If EaseUS has an option to check for updates, maybe that is why it’s calling home so often? Can you see if you can disable that option if it’s available?

Free version displays ADs, pretty much like any free software, you can simply block it in the firewall.
It can also check for the latest version, try to connect to easeus cloud account and download WinPE.
