Solved EaseUSDiskCopy Can't Uninstall

I accidentally clicked on subject download. I want to uninstall it, but it doesn't appear in Control Panel programs. Right-clicking on it gives no Uninstall selection.

I found it in Program Data, nothing there either. Some suggestions were on the TenForum (nothing there that worked). A thread on this forum from 2017, nothing there.

Searching online for suggestions, saw a registry hack, not sure I want to go that far. I tried CC Cleaner and it couldn't find it either to uninstall. I've never come across something I couldn't uninstall before.

Evaluating a new 11 machine to see if it will work for me, so is only option to just reset computer to factory and start over? TIA

(I'll put my new machine stats in soon.)

How do you "know" that it's installed ?
Most of the time we download installers, but the program doesn't get installed unless you run the installer.

I went HERE and clicked on the Free Trial.
It downloaded this...

It isn't even an installer. It's a "portable" version.
You just double click it, and it runs the program. Nothing is installed.


I get the same results, here...

That is what I'm thinking, it's not "technically" installed, it did populate with everything on my system when I clicked on it.

Is there an uninstaller executable where the program is located? It could be a portable version like others have said.

Yeah, it's just a portable version.
If you "want" to use it... just create a folder on your C: drive called: EaseUS Disk Copy, and put the thing you downloaded, in there. Then right click the program and choose: Send To > Desktop (create shortcut)



Or, you could just do what everyone else does...

I looked again, nothing there, it made a Desktop shortcut (back to the Program Data folder). For now I cut it to sit on my Desktop.
At this point, just deleting the whole folder should take care of it?

IF it did run, worried about entries made in the Registry?

It's "portable" .
It won't make registry entries.

The ONLY registry entry it will make is the shortcut file path, IF you make a shortcut to the portable program.
When you delete the shortcut... that entry will go away.

None that I could find. In the bin folder, there is UninstallPxe, (not .pxe). Not familiar with that, looked it up, sounds like it's coming from their server? I just don't want any access to my machine.

Okay, whole folder from bin is on my desktop, just delete and I'm good?

UPDATE, it won't delete, I agree to Admin permission, and won't go to Recycle.
Some items in folder are Deny access for Full Control. Going in to try and change to Allow. Will report back.

Yes, I see, thanks!

Still can't delete folder moved to Desktop, even with permissions changed to Allow Full Control. 2 Admin, Creator/Owner, Users, System, & Laptop. 2K+ files. Denying Access, even if I try to CUT and PASTE to Recycle.

I don't understand about Disable Inheritance or Replace all child object permission entities...something I should try? Should I look for a Tutorial on here?

I'm just going to reset to factory and start over. Only had laptop for a day, so not much to rebuild. Thanks for all the help. Lesson learned! :oops:
