edditing photos and then lost all the photo albums!!

Just opened new Windows 11 pc, started editing some pictures out of the photos folder, then all of a sudden the pics folders disappeared, cannot locate.

Been trying everything I am researching.

Any help please

If the default location of your pictures folder is Onedrive, you might go to Onedrive on the web to check its recycle bin. If they are there you can recover them. OneDrive

To check the default location of the pictures folder, open file explorer, right click on picturess>properties>location tab
By default, if one uses a MS account, the default location of desktop, documents, pictures, and videos folders is Onedrive,
NOT on your system drive at C:\users\yourusername
