Edge browser's "enhance your security on the web" feature

When I turn this feature on, under "privacy, search, and services" section, I notice Edge is less responsive. In other words, Edge is snappier with this feature off. So I used a browser benchmark tool called Speedometer, in www.browserbench.org, to score the Edge browser. Even when this feature is set at "Balanced" mode, its score is cut in half.

Is this security feature useful at all? If I turn it off, its score is similar to that from Chrome.

If you are a careful person on the internet, you can certainly leave it off. On some sites I have noticed that it says added security. Maybe just switch it on when you would like the added security.
