The settings page has this set, grammer and spell check on, just tried it with 'grammer' and again no suggestions

I just saw that this is happening to multiple of my PC's
My laptop downstairs, and my desktop upstairs.
It is very annoying to show a misspelled word and then not offer the correct spelling

FYI...I am able to duplicate this while on this forum. I need to check other forums to see if I see the same. Note: Firefox(my normal browser) works fine on 11 Forums.
And update: This also appears on a 2nd user Forum I tried. Since I rarely use Edge this makes me curious as to what is going on.

Edge did an update of itself, and must have changed the setting.

OR Microsoft editor has failed.

I do get spelling suggestions on basic.

Since I am a fast careless typer, I tend to rely on spell check a lot. I notice it when it stops working.

Is this due to Microsoft Editor being an Edge add on, and I don't have it installed?

Or do you have to have MS word or MS 365 subscription installed?

It says this,

Yes, it needs a browser restart.
I have it set to Microsoft editor and it is working.
will have to see how I like it compared to basic

Issue came up over 'refering' on Boat design.net forum

Referring is corect while refering is wrong, but Microsoft Editor flags it red and offers no suggestions, and then later I try it, and it no longer flags it red.
Other words though ME is working fine.

Editing as now it offers the correct spelling, so it seems maybe the process has delays.

In the middle of my typing while editing 'wibble' went from a red w, to nothing being wrong.
And the first word went all red
So far it is not a reliable consistant spell check with ME. I can not trust it to always work.
