ElevenClock synced wrong...

Hopefully, this is a simple thing to fix...
I chose Eastern time and the internet sync option... The problem is, it's currently set to Central time, not Eastern - despite the fact that my computer is set correctly (and internet synced.)

I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan which means that often apps pick up weird random locations for me, like Milwaukee, Wisconsin or Chicago (both Central time)... which is likely to be the source of the problem here...
My solution was going to be to simply unsync ElevenClock from the internet time and reset it myself, but I cannot find where to do that. I've looked all through the settings, but could not find this one.

Can someone help me, please?

Have you right clicked the time in the lower right of the screen? Select adjust time, you should get a screen like this

If I am not mistaken, you have given me the setting for the computer itself. My computer clock is set correctly. It's just ElevenClock that is not. I installed ElevenClock so that I could get the seconds... and synced that to the internet as it was strongly suggested... and that went wrong.

Supposedly, ElevenClock gets the time from your computer. There doesn't seem to be any alternative.
Or maybe it gives you another place to look for the answer.

Upper Michigan is split into either Central or Eastern time zones. I believe Windows location services (which uses your ISP's IP address block to guess where you reside) is picking the wrong side.

Under Settings, go to Privacy & security > Location
Scroll down to "Default location", click on Set Default. Tell Windows where you live (closest major city is enough if you're worried about privacy).

Check if the time zone has updated itself.

Web sites may still think you're in another city, because they're keying off the same IP address databases that confused Windows in the first place.

Fixed that, but it doesn't change anything.

The computer system time remains correct. It's only the ElevenClock that has it wrong. It does have it right for "Clock 1" and then the second clock that I added - it's just that its default display clock is still set on Central, not Eastern... so I don't know where it's getting it from.

Never mind - I just found the spot to unsync it to the internet time and it's now correct... as it has synced to the computer time instead. (I swear I'd already looked there, but it wouldn't open or something...) Still don't know why syncing it to the internet messes it up - unless it's the typical UP problem. (I have phone apps that constantly think we're in Milwaukee or Chicago... and a coworker of mine said that hers said she was in Boston!)

Large companies like MS, Google, Apple pay other firms to compile lists of IP addresses which are owned by ISP providers. They're grouped into pools by geographic regions. If they match you to a pool, then it's assumed you live there.

For some IP addresses, this information is completely wrong. You can't fix it yourself, since these companies don't offer any support.

You can fix it by going into Change Date and Time and set it to whatever time zone you live. After you've set it, ElevenClock should show the correct time.
