Hi there
Those running a Windows 11 (or any Windows VM) VM on VMWare (either Workstation or Player) and want to enable 3D graphics and hardware acceleration and using a LINUX Host (don't do this on a Windows HOST or your VM won't start)
ensure both these lines exist in your .vmx config file (both lines -- one might already exist so be careful as duplicates will prevent the VM from starting). Ensure the enable 3d box is ticked as well when setting up the VM.

mks.enable3d = "TRUE"
mks.gl.allowBlacklistedDrivers = "TRUE"

Note - the VM itself can also be copied to Windows HOSTS and will work identically - just remove the 2 lines from the .vmx file - and also on ist boot of the VM say "I moved it" rather than "I copied it" to the popup otherwise a new GUUID will be created and Windows will probably lose activation and therefore will need to be re-activated. A VM created on Windows can likewise be copied to a Linux Host - same procedure but add the 2 lines for 3d and HW acceleration.

Cheers
