This tutorial will show you how enable or disable Copilot connectors in Microsoft Edge, on the Web, and Windows 11.
Microsoft Copilot is your everyday AI companion, empowering you to achieve anything you can imagine.
Starting with the Copilot app version 1.25095.161.0 and higher, Microsoft is gradually rolling out Connectors across all Insider channels on Windows 11. Copilot now supports connecting to personal services like OneDrive, Outlook (including email, contacts, and calendar), Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts. These connections make it easier for users to find their content across multiple accounts.
In this initial release, Copilot enables natural language search across all your connected services. For example, you can ask:
- “What’s the email address for Sarah?”
- “Find my school notes from last week.”
You can link both Microsoft and third-party accounts to Copilot. This feature is opt-in. Access can be granted by opening the Settings page in the Copilot Windows app, scrolling to the Connectors section, and enabling OneDrive, Outlook, Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, or Google Contacts.
It is required to sign in to Copilot with your Microsoft account to link both Microsoft and third-party account connections to Copilot.
You can turn on or off allowing Copilot access to your Microsoft account services (ex: OneDrive and Outlook). You will not be able to disconnect a Microsoft account service from Copilot since you are signed in to Copilot with the Microsoft account.
When you connect (link) a 3rd party account services (ex: Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, or Google Contacts) to Copilot, you can turn on or off allowing Copilot access to them. You can also disconnect (unlink) a 3rd party account from Copilot.
