Event id 87 can be filtered out in the Event Viewer. See my post # 13

1. Open Event Viewer
2. Right-click Custom Views > Create Custom View
3. Set:
   • Log: Application
   • Event ID: type -87 (this excludes 87)
4. Name the view something like "Application Events (No AIK)"

This hides the noise without affecting actual logging or system behaviour.

It’s an odd issue (in my opinion)

I wonder if you have considered a repair install of Windows. Doesn’t remove anything. I wonder if it might correct this issue???

I don’t / haven’t in the past. I tend to keep all important files on a secondary drive. If I have issues that can’t be solved by a system restore, I’ll usually just do a reinstall. My system is fast so it doesn’t take much time.

Edit: also, on “restoring windows”- this version of windows is only a month old and doesn’t exhibit any issues other than the above. I don’t want to repair / reinstall again.
