Hi, so I am having a Dell 7340 having issues with Excel 2016 64-bit where it is constantly freezing/being unresponsive and crashing. I have tried the below to no avail.
1. Making sure windows 11 is up-to-date
2. Disabling all add-ins

I'm going to try repairing Excel 2016 and/or completely uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2016, but in case that doesn't work... Has anyone faced this issue before and resolved it?

Is Excel /Office fully up to date?

Did it ever worked normally or has it always been this way?

Does it crash with all files or only specific (perhaps complex) files?

Do the other Office apps work normally?

Is this a retail version of Office, a downloaded version, etc?

My question was - did it ever work properly after you installed it on your current system. And since you mention it, when you say it worked better on a different laptop, do you mean it didn't really work properly there either?

Downloaded from where? I need to ask if it is a legit version or a pirated version. If the latter, it's not unlikely that's the reason it isn't working as expected.

It never worked properly on the new system. On the windows 10 system, excel worked properly but Outlook was not (part of same installation file).

Downloaded directly from Microsoft website.

I un-installed and re-installed and I am having the end-user test. So far, no issues so hopefully that has resolved it!
