Excel files open slowly and no graphics

I suppose it happened after two updates: 2026-04 Beveiligingsupdate (KB5083769) (26200.8246) and 2026-04 .NET Framework Beveiligingsupdate (KB5082417).

Excel files open very slowly, and when they are open, I can see my tab with data, but all the tabs with graphs are empty. I can create a graph in the data-tab, but afterwards it is impossible to transfer this graph to a tab of its own. When deleting the two updates, opening goes well, but still no graphs.

Try installing GPU driver from GPU manufacturer website.

I installed the latest GPU driver of Nvidia , but this didn't solve the problem

What version of Office are you running?

Have you tried updating Office?

File > Account > Update options > Update now

Try repair installing Excel.

To repair Excel, open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps (or "Apps & Features"), find your Microsoft Office/365 installation, click the three dots (or Modify), choose Modify, and then select Quick Repair. If that fails, use Online Repair for a more comprehensive, though slower, fix.

I recently updated Microsoft 365 , but no succes.
However this morning I found by accident the solution. I recently installed a new printer HP Envy6120e.
And this morning I wanted to print something ; so I turned the printer on.
After that print , I tried again to open the excel files and graphs , and by surprise everthing went well.
So I have the impression that the printer has to be on ,to see my graphs in Excel.

On the net I found that some apps like excel are waiting for a reaction of the printer (accessing printer) , but because it's not on this never happens.
To solve this problem : Windows can manage my default printer : off then click on Microsoft print to PDF , choose manage > set as default
en when yoy really want to print something choose the standardprinter manually.
