EXCEL proper black theme anyone --cells in black possible ?

Hi folks
In Office (I'm using Office LTSC Pro 2021) is there any where to get EXCEL to have cells in black with text in white. WORD 2021 and Outlook 2021do it properly.

Here's what EXCEL throws up even with Windows dark them enabled for Windows applications. (Data is test data so no "security or data protection issues").

Outlook 2021 also gives you the choice to switch per email between black and white background by the red arrow in the screenshot.

Some other setting must be needed as Excel, from my subscription Microsoft 365, the background is still white. Word was converted to black background some time ago, but I have not been able to do this with Excel (the last holdout).

Same here - even though "Black" is on in the office account ---- Works perfectly for Word, Outlook etc - I wonder if there's some "Background" or other hard to find setting in EXCEL that does this.

OK, the trick is to select one of the 3 dark Contrast Themes. This changes Excel to display dark background everywhere regardless of the Office Theme & Office Background settings. But this has impacts on the appearance of other apps that are not acceptable for my use.

The alternative is to use the Page Layout, Background, Bing Image Search, Solid Grey process, but this only works on a per tab basis, not even the whole spreadsheet and it is not system wide. What a mess.

Enhancements/fixes are needed to Excel to allow the Office Theme & Office Background setting to function independently of the Windows Contract theme.

Perhaps because I have the black theme selected for Office 365 and still have white cells in Excel.
