Facebook mouse hover not working

I will do my best explaining this issue and not sure when it started happening, this week I think.

Usually when using facebook on firefox browser, I could hover over a name in a post comment and "see" some about info of the poster. Not any more. I can only right click and get to the poster's page. It happens on Edge and Chrome also. I tried on Hub's system (Win 10) and same thing.

The only thing I can think to offer is :

Cleaning your browser cache and history.
Make sure you’re browser is up to date.
Go through your browser settings in case something changed with any browser updates.

It could simply be a new Facebook condition, by design. I don’t know.

I can’t check, I deleted my 18 year old account last Friday. Facebook is not what it once was.

Sorry for you too but happy you understand. Since it happens in three browsers, I assume it's a FB issue. I did make a report to FB. Driving me crazy!! What windows version are you running? Not sure why mine reads what it does, I'll fix that!

It happens with 3 different browsers and they are UTD. Bradley Dean posted he has same issue.

I just recalled I have a spam account on Facebook.

I am using Firefox updated to the latest version. I can mouse over a name and the info pops up.

There are different rules for different countries regarding META/Facebook. I am in Australia.
Like we have both mentioned, it could be by design

Yeah, silly cat, lucky it has nine lives. I wonder how many packets it smokes a day?

I also found that hover action to be a handy addition. I can’t think of why you’re no longer seeing it less it being by design for the USA or a bug in the USA scripts.

I would imagine, as with everything else Facebook, they will become aware it and fix?

Like I said, I forgot I have that account. I used it whenever I knew that what I was about to post, would land me in jail. I believe I have accrued over a thousand days in jail on that account, mostly just for being honest

It's a subtraction for me! I did send FB "feedback" following instructions. Not sure how or when they respond. I haven't checked email for 48 hrs! and no FB mess. I made a post on one of FB groups asking if anyone has the issue. At least now I have an image of WTF I'm yapping about :)

I’d be surprised if they even read it.
I assume that with AI today, it sorts through keywords in feedback or wherever, accumulates them until it gets to the “We better look at this” stage, then they address it, or not.

I believe Microsoft Feedback Hub operates in the same manner.

I don't do FB on the regular but do have an old account. I logged in for the first time in 2 years to test this and I have no issues with mouse hover using FF or Edge.

More info...I only work Fridays and maybe last time I used FB was 4 wks ago. I now have the issue @ work which I have to log in to FB; I'm always logged in at home
