Solved Fast boot or fast startup?

I have seen a video on how to shut down Windows properly and it stated that to disable fast startup in the power setting in the control panel, but I have no such setting in the power options in my Control Panel. But then I remembered that I have fast boot in my BIOS enabled and a web search said that having fast boot enabled in the BIOS is not a good thing.
My intention is trying to get my laptop to boot as fast as it used to be starting up as it is getting slightly slower than when I first got the machine.
So what should I do about the fast boot leave well enough alone?

That web search is bollards. Fast boot is fine. All it does is give early warning of a mobo failure, but by the time you get the warnings, nothing you can do really.

Fast startup is only seen if you have hibernation enabled.

There are several reasons why boot has gotten slower over time. Unlike with a new machine, you have added applications that autostart with Windows. You can improve boot by disabling what you do not want to start at boot. task manager>startup apps> right click and disable. You can also use autoruns but make sure you know what app or process you are disabling from autostarting.

Using disk cleanup regularly can help to maintain boot times as well as overall performance.

Yes Glasskuter I have cut down the start up apps and items and Try3 yes I have been there and done that but apparently I need hibernation to get that fast startup disabled as per cerebus's reply.
Anyway I guess it is going as fast a it can now.

I turned off Fast start before I enabled Hibernation.

Fast startup doesn't work if you've disabled hibernate via powercfg -h off
Different to the bios fast boot.
