Solved File Explorer - "Options" strangeness...

I did the WU on the 8th, it finished with no issues.
Ran sfc /scannow and it found no errors.
Some time between then and now I lost control of two of the File Explorer Options. Namely... the two with the RED dots.
I set them to... Show Hidden files... and UN-checked Hide System files, then clicked apply and OK. But it didn't work.
So... I ran sfc /scannow and it found and repaired errors. Then I ran DISM... RestoreHealth.
Neither fixed the problem. So I rebooted the computer, and problem is fixed ???
Really weird...
Only one account on this comp. It's Local and an Administrator account.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
That is weird. I'm on same release as you and nothing changed for me. Is it not normal to have to reboot after running dism for any changes made by dism to take affect? I always thought it was. Did the CBS log indicate dism fixed anything?

No. I think the reboot just fixed the Options issue.
I restored from a backup anyway. I also deleted and remade the Page File before I did the restore.
The only thing I've done on the computer since Patch Tuesday, was mess around with that .bat file that times how long it takes to restart the computer.
Bitdefender didn't like that .bat file at all. Quarantined it.
Definitely a false positive, but maybe that broke something in Options?
Whatever caused it... it's working now.
