Solved File Explorer Recent Files Section Displays Differently On My Two PCs

On my Lenovo T490 laptop, when I mouse-over a file listed in the Recent section, I get 2 icons - one, an open folder labeled "Open file location" and second, an ellipsis labeled "See more actions for this file". I'm cool with that. (y)

On my Lenovo M83 desktop, those icons do not appear when I mouse-over a file. I've compared the File Explorer options and they are the same. Both systems have the same build (26200.7623) and have the same MS updates.

Any idea why one system shows the icons and the other doesn't?

In image number 1, the Folder icon is highlighted, you seem to be getting Hover Tips about that...

Yes, I know. Let me try explaining my question again using a screen shot. Perhaps I wasn't clear.

On my other system, when I mouse-over a file I get NO icons, only the path information as shown below:

That's okay. Out of curiosity, does your system have the icons or not? I'm not sure which way is "normal" for Windows 11.

These are File Explorer on-hover actions that are still gradually rolling out.

Starting with Windows 11 build 26220.5790 (Dev 25H2) and build 26120.5790 (Beta 24H2), File Explorer Home now offers on-hover actions for faster file management. Hovering over a file with your mouse in File Explorer Home will display commands like Open file location and Ask Copilot about this file. You will be able to try out the Copilot integration and attach files easily. This experience currently only works if you’re signed in with a Microsoft account. Work or school account (Entra ID) support is coming in a future flight. This change is not yet rolling out to Windows Insiders in the EEA (European Economic Area).

Gradually rolling out explains it. I am NOT signed in with a Microsoft account. Right now, I have no interest in Copilot, so... ;-)
