Firefox is not saving cookies of gmail and asking password on restart

Another user in another thread was having a similar issue- having set the browser to not delete cookies but delete history, and all logins were being required once cleared.

Toggle that internet cache feature off in CCLeaner and see if it remains.

Or, better yet, actually log in to GMail every time - it's more secure to do it that way anyway.

I dont clean through ccleaner or from browser daily. So if I do uncheck cache it wont work either as I dont clean every day.

Try to use portable Firefox temporarily to see, if the problem persists there to eliminate the browser as the cause.

Until you log out of your google account, cookies should work for a set amount of time

I’m sure it’s just fine. It is just adding reg entries into your registry. From the looks, you just need to save it as a .bat
If it doesn’t work, just find the entries in the bat file , in regedit and delete them.

Really wish people posting help here would do so in a manner that anyone reading the thread can follow through with 0 knowledge.

That is PS code, not batch code.

My mistake. And PS being Powershell.

Oops - yeah, PowerShell. Not your mistake, you did say it looks like.

But the Codebox function built in to the forum software allows the poster to select the type of code being shared, so it is less confusing.


Notice how it clearly says it is Powershell now, and has color coded the commands.

There are multiple code types that are selectable from the codebox, simply by clicking where it says General code after it opens:



That is what I was referring to - if the correct format is used it looks a lot nicer, and is clear what exactly is being displayed.

See my cleanup script thread also - the codebox there is set to Batch.

I’ll admit, my noobiness looks at some posts and I have no idea how to implement what’s been offered.

When I say “some posts” I mean many.

@jk22 note that it is not a batch file as I suggested, it is to be entered into powershell. My mistake sorry.

Read the comments afterward. It isn’a batch, they’re Powershell commands, which s basically fixing in manually. You could create the strings yourself in regedit, but why would you bother, it’s the same result.

So with below powershell code it will fix the gmail session logout issue ?
