It seems as though this browser is update happy. I'm sure they have their reason but man! The updates are constant. Just a small complaint. Think it's a decent browser.

The Final may update once or twice to fix bugs that were not caught in the RC. Remember they are not backed by a million dollar corporation.

I turn auto updates for Firefox... OFF.
I only do the non-beta, non-RC updates... manually.

Currently that's 143.0.1

For the sake of competition (mainly with Chrome based browsers) - they included/implemented tons of new features - which can reshape the way FF works (for who's interested - cause the "classic" model still works as always - for most part). This additions also came with bugs - some breaking the internet browsing experience (at least, one of the many ways - you can use a browser this days - depending on needs/wants), other involving exploitable securities.

Thus, the monthly mega pack update - introducing some feature + fixes of all kinds (be it security or broken features) - similar to Windows updates. But also - "quick fixes" covering just 1 breaking or major security issue. Such is the case with this last update: Firefox 143.0.1, See All New Features, Updates and Fixes - where Trend Micro’s software installs/hooks DLLs - which are loaded into various processes in order to inspect, monitor, or alter behavior (scanning, event logging and such). In this bug, those DLLs were also being loaded into the Firefox content process (that is, the process which executes web content/tabs). That was not intended - or at least became problematic in this situation.
