fix the blank window in Window security app

I want to fix the blank window in Window security app. Are there consequences of option two, the reg file that I need to be aware of?

Could you also tell us the steps you are taking to get to that white pane?

Is the Windows Security service running?

Sorry I should have said that's what I see when I try to open the windows security taskbar icon. A repair and reset did not help.

I tried the command from windows terminal admin and this is what I got:

C:\Users\trixi>Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI -AllUsers | Reset-AppxPackage
'Get-AppxPackage' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

The services list windows security as running.

You can use attached batch script to reset Security app.

I ran that and put 29 (Windows security)
as the number when it requested a number. Nothing happened that I could see. It didn't fix the problem.

That didn't work either, but now when I use Windows L logo, the start up windows picture (spotlight ) is in another language other then English

It still asks if I like it in English so I think I'm ok.

Make sure to execute these commands from PowerShell that is open as administrator.

Is the Terminal admin the same? I saw the powershell in windows tools if needed.

You can open the PowerShell from Terminal if it not already opened.

Am I at risk of mucking up something else with an upgrade? I'll check out your link. I suspect it's the Malwarebytes app installation that started this issue.
