windows 11
Hi. Ive been having problems with steam for a couple weeks. it started with ark survival evolved. I'd load in it would crash the pc sometimes and other times just the game. after that i wouldn't be able to open the game folder. soon after that the same started happening on fh5. the folder problem would resolve after a reboot but the games would still crash. updated all the drivers and that had no effect. out of desperation i even upgraded my os to windows 11 hoping maybe that was the problem but still no luck. tried chkdsk sfc defrag and so on. nothing helped. after the crash even file integrity for fh5 would fail and other games i'd download on the disk would give a disk write error. reboot would fix that problem but still crash every time i'd play fh5. even tried fresh instal of steam client and uninstall and reinstall of fh5 multiple times on multiple drives. i'm at wits end with this and can't understand why it won't work all of a sudden

please some help me out with this. it's driving me crazy

The write errors only occur after the game has crashed. If I don’t run forza the write errors never occur. I’ve checked the drives. They seem to be fine. The cause seems to be either steam or forza

That I haven’t checked. Will try to do that and get back with the results
