You could do something with these that no laserjet or inkjet can do:

Put two pieces of paper with a carbon paper layer in between into the (I'll keep it a secret where) paper tray, and you can type two pages at the same time. Not the best quality though. You would post top copy to say a client if a letter, and file the bottom layer.

You could reuse carbon layer a few times. Your hands got quite dirty handling the carbon paper, so you had to be careful not to get thumb/finger prints over top copy.

For the "juves" on this forum, that is where CC comes from in email headers (Carbon Copy).

There was even carbon-less copy paper. Took all the mess out of duplication, but horrendously expensive.
