I would rather install Windows 95 on it, more familiar and more useful than installing an ancient Linux version. At least I will be able to play my DOS games and some very old Windows games. With Linux it will be a useless paperweight consuming valuable electricity. Computers have evolved since the '70s and do many more than typing code or browsing in text mode. Hardcore Unix/Linux fans don't want to admit it. They think GUI and wizards are useless. For them maybe, not for everyone else. For the record the lowest system I have successfully installed Windows 95 on was an Intel 80486 DX4 at 75MHz with 16MB RAM, SVGA and SoundBlaster compatible sound card. A little slow but could do thousands things more than contemporary Linux, including playing games. Needless to say much easier to use and compatible with many more devices than Linux.
