Gmail copies.

Hi Folks, when I send an email using Gmail in any browser, why does it make a copy in the All Mail & Sent folders????

Gmail uses labels, not traditional folders.
It creates a shadow copy (not a duplicate) of the message and automatically applies the Sent label to it — it’s tagged with a label and shows up in your Sent Mail.
Gmail also keeps it in "All Mail", which is like your master archive of everything — inbox, sent, archived, etc. It has no label filters unless you apply one.
The message isn’t duplicated in storage — it’s a single message with multiple labels.

You could possibly apply a filter or change a setting somewhere.

Gmail > Cog > See all settings > Labels > All Mail > show or hide.

There is a load of Labels and Categories you can use, Show/Hide, your choice.

Because that's what it is ... a Sent email, and one of All Mail (inwards, outwards, upwards, downwards) in your account
