I can recommend iMazing for iphone/ipad backups.
It isn't free but it works well. Good support.

World Backup Day means something different in the plumbing world.

Not just today is the day to backup my data.
That is every day!

If data only is backupped once a year, after a few days the saved backup will be quite useless when you did some work on that system...

For my main computers I back up important data once a day and the whole drives once a week to an external drive. For redundancy I back up the whole drives once a month to a different external drive.

All my backups are done automatically by backup software. I found out the hard way that doing it manually meant having backups that were so old they were almost useless.

I added a wrinkle to this scheme. I do have daily data backups and weekly backups of all my drives, they're all done using Task Scheduler or Acronis True Image scheduler. I actually have two copies one to a different physical drive in my computer, and the second to a NAS drive.

Added to that are two USB drives that are disconnected except for when a backup is run. My calendar reminds me every two weeks to do a backup, I alternate the backup to the two external drives. Even if one of those drives fails or is compromised, I have at least one full computer backup that's less than a month old. That assumes all the other copies have already been compromised. Since these drives are physically disconnected except for when the backup is running, I'm pretty well assured that data won't be compromised by a ransomware attack or similar.

For my most sensitive data, I have two different daily backups, one with Acronis True Image, the other is a file-by-file backup using Beyond Compare. Of course they also are backed up during the weekly and bi-weekly runs as well.
