Has Microsoft done something to mess up Microsoft accounts in the past week or so?


I had a serious issue past 1 week where Windows would randomly throw me out at the lockscreen. My local admin password didn't work and I was greeted with a message: "This account is locked and may not be logged on to." Rebooting the PC, I was greeted with AMD fTPM was reset. But it still didn't allow me to login. What finally worked was unplugging the LAN cable. Is this some kind of Virus or Windows issue? LAter I ran a full Windows Defender scan and it came clean.

Strange things going on and it seems like Microsoft has totally lost it !

Not to mention after numerous ways to 'lock' yourself out of your own account. What then becomes of your documents when you can't get at them or after you die?

You need to be pretty stupid to get locked out of your account.

The issue about not being able to access your documents after you die is not a Microsoft issue, it's because you're dead, you're not accessesing anything :facepalm:

No, Microsoft is.

And it's not just Microsoft that does it. All big tech does it. You upload any documents/information to them, they now own it. De facto, or otherwise...

Okay, I have done it: My two Microsoft accounts are now passwordless.

However, I still have one weird issue with my accounts, but that's a separate issue so I'm going to post a separate thread about that because I'm simply not finding any info that helps me online or in AI for this.
