Has No pdf preview in Win 11 explorer been solved. I can find no answers.


I have been using Sumatra PDF for several years without any issues - It does everything that I have used it for so will recommend you take a look .

Even though the printer I have now is my second Brother printer, this is the first time I installed all of the software that came with them.

I use the Free Foxit Reader. You need to be careful when you visit the page to get the Free Reader rather than the free trial. Also, during install uncheck any added offers. Foxit has worked well for me for several years.

In Explorer, clicking a PDF brings up a preview of the first page on the right side of the screen; double clicking a PDF opens it in the Foxit Reader. You may need to specify use of Foxit for PDFs in Settings.

I use to use Foxit Reader years ago so I decided to try it again. I just downloaded and installed Foxit Reader by using the Free Download link. When one installs it they need to read the options and unclick anything the don't want. The install the 14 day trial is the default but there is a do not install the 14 day trial option. One just needs to select it if they don't want the trial.

What's wrong with old good free Adobe reader?
It's free and no junkware included.

If one wants thumbnails, but otherwise web browser is even better to avoid installing anything and keeping system clean.
