This thread is inspired by the one on USB confusion, it made me delve a little deeper into the following issues.
My oldish 32" monitor has 1440p resolution (2560 x 1440) What is the minimum HDMI versions/specs that will drive the monitor? (single monitor scenario only)
I read the info in the link below as follows:
At a refresh rate of 30 Hz I need at least HDMI 1.2-1.2a
At a refresh rate of 60 Hz I need at least HDMI 1.3-1.4b
(I don't need higher refresh rates, I don't play games)
Further, what is the minimum DiplayPort versions/specs that will drive the monitor? (single monitor scenario only)
I read the info in the link below and couldn't figure it out
Further yet, what is the minimum on-chip Intel Graphics Technology that will drive the monitor? (single monitor scenario only)
I read the info in the link below and couldn't figure it out
Finally, the data ranges in the above linked info make it appear that desktop computer OEMs have considerable leeway, what minimum product specs will drive the monitor? (single monitor scenario only)
