Been using a KVM for about 4 years to integrate a HDD based video security system with a PC. It is HDMI based. Attaching a screenshot to show its setup.
The security cam system is HDMI output.
I had to replace my PC. The new Win 11 PC does NOT have a HDMI port, all Display ports. Have 1 unused DP port. New monitors are Display Port only. I figured no problem, just get some HDMI-DP adapters.
When I started looking for same they all seem to be unidirectional, in the wrong way, at least for the KVM output to a monitor. IOW, all I've found say they'll only work for a DP source to HDMI monitor. The opposite of what I need.
I'm stumped. Would sincerely appreciate some advice to help me get this resolved. I'd love to use the same KVM but if necessary I'll replace it if necessary. It would need BOTH a HDMI and DP input for the cam system and PC. Then a DP output to one monitor.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
