I am currently struggling with a rather persistent Windows 11 Pro activation issue for which the chances are looking increasingly slim that I'll ever be able to solve it without direct support from Microsoft (see other thread here).

However thus far I have been unable to find any way to get into a call or chat with an actual person from Microsoft support. When I call the Microsoft support telephone number I get a bot on the line that asks me to describe my issue. After I say that I have Windows activation issues the bot tells me to go the Microsoft support website and then hangs up. But thus far I have been unable to find any option anywhere on the Microsoft support website for getting in touch with an actual person from Microsoft support.

Does anyone know how can you talk or chat with a person from Microsoft support for Windows activation issues?

How can you talk or chat with a person from Microsoft support for Windows activation issues?

They kind of knocked that on the head, ages ago.

Best hope you have as far as I understand it:

  • Press Start and type Get Help.
  • Open the app.
  • Type Windows activation.
  • When the automated suggestions appear, scroll down and choose Contact support or Talk to an agent. (If it's available)

Sorry, I neglected to mention that I had already tried the Get Help too. After clicking on Contact Support I again get a prompt to specify my issue, and ever specifying that my issue is with Windows activation also here I do not get any option to talk or chat with an agent/person/flesh-being.

Then you're probably all out of luck.

As mentioned in your other thread, you can get a key from StackSocial for around US$13. Many of us have keys from there.

If you think this problem is worth more, maybe someone else can help. But Microsoft killed the process.

I recently said goodbye to MS Outlook for good after it said that it's going to upload all my e-mails to the Microsoft cloud even though I don't have Microsoft as e-mail provider, and I couldn't find an option to opt out from this.

If the 145 euro that I paid Microsoft for my Windows 11 Pro license turns out to be money that has gone completely down the drain and I have to spend more money just to get a functional product again, even if it's just a single euro, then that may just be the push for me to say goodbye to Windows for good as well and make the switch to Linux or macOS.

I've got this (from Spain) when researching prices:

https://www.microsoft.com/es-es/d/windows-11-home/dg7gmgf0krt0 <- I've clicked here and

MSpossibleChat.webp

upper right (lower right in the real page) big gray-white square: Talk to an expert. Our team of experts is here to answer your questions. (blue link) Contact us.

"floating" black smaller square: Can we help you? The Store assistant is available around the clock. (upper link) Chat now (lower link) No, thank you

The same as above.

Do the same searches and you'll get links for your country I suppose. Here it was the 1st non-sponsored link in both cases.

I finally found a way to enter a chat session with a person from Microsoft support. It was through the Windows Get Help app. But a very crucial step seems to be that you should never mention in a prompt that you have an issue regarding Windows activation, but only ever write/select that you have an unspecified technical issue.

So first you have to start the Get Help app in Windows.

Then you have to click on the blue Contact Support bottom at the very bottom.
