how do context menus work for upgrades?

I know that a lot of the changes for context menus require app vendors to use new APIs. So what happens for existing apps? Are they still on the context menus as in Windows 10 alongside the new layout for the OS-based menus? Just curious what sort of oddities or bugs in the context menus that anyone who did an in-place upgrade has seen, if any.

thanks

I did an In-Place upgrade. I have some old programs too.
They all showed up on the context menus... they're just on the 2nd page of the context menus in Win 11.

However... at present there is a tweak that will get you the single page context menus, back.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?

The same tweak is on Tom's Hardware page if needed. It worked for me.
