Hello, I'm trying to change the login screen for Windows 11. Not the lock screen, I've customized that already. I'm referring to the screen that comes up after the Windows boot logo, but before your desktop. I've done it before, but for the life of me I cannot find how I did it. Thank you in advance!

Thank you so much! Not 100% what I was looking for, but I'd say 1 step better actually. Windows feels like it boots a teensy tiny bit faster.

With windows 7, you could change the User Interface for the login ui. I think that’s what he might want. But I want know to know if you can use do the same thing with windows 11?

For anyone: To change the lock screen you see before you sign in, you have to choose picture as your lock screen and select a new picture that you want and it'll move up as the first picture then you change it to slideshow or windows spotlight and have the show lock screen background picture as on. Then it won't be on the blue windows default picture. If you have the show lock screen background picture off it'll show the default windows picture and then be a black background when you press any key to sign in

I still having issues where the blue windows crap picture is on for a brief moment before applying my lock screen/sign in screen picture.

How to stop this?
I've even located the windows picture and changed it to my after changing permissions back and forth. But the picture still exists somewhere in Windows, where?

I know what your talking about. Yes it’s possible if you can get software to decrypt the logon ui.exe but so far no one has done this yet. But I may know someone who can.

Thanks for the reply, that make sense that the image is embedded in the exe.
Such a random bug that the blue screen appear suddenly without no changes.

This worked for me. I was tired of seeing the same blue background when signing in every morning. Thank you!
