how do I enable windows firewall after turning off mcafee firewall

Hi, The mcafee is a unnecessary a bundled program.
This I find when I click firewall and it also hijacked my windows firewall.
Due to some reason, I want windows firewall. After turning off, it shows as snoozed. I also turned off real time protection of the program.
When I go to the windows firewall , it does not show any option to switch back to windows firewall.
When I go in to deeper, in control panel there was windows defender and clicking it shows,these settings are managed by mcafee even when I turned off .
I could not just click turn on off settings in windows firewall. it is not clickable.
How do I turn on windows firewall
Should not microsoft , find a way to stop this hijack on their firewall
I am waiting for warranty from my vendor to uninstall this unfriendly mcafee's behaviour of hijacking windows features
Meantime, any tweak to enable the default firewall

You have to uninstall McCafe to enable any other antivirus.
Edit: Uninstalling McCafe does not void warranty.

Is there any workaround other than uninstalling mcafee

In the "How to remove McAfee software from your Windows PC" section, use method #2 to remove McAfee

Hi, I ask, alternative workaround for enabling windows firewall without uninstalling the mcafee

I could not edit the previous post. Or could you give a antivirus name that works and do allow windows firewall. Most av, overrides or hijacks the windows firewall. it seems

All you really need is Windows AV and firewall. Maybe Malwarebytes for a 2nd opinion.
That's what most people use.
Malwarebytes won't over ride Windows firewall.




But you really should remove McAfee.
