I received a brand new laptop from Lenovo one week ago today. Today, I was using the laptop on battery, it got down to about 30% battery, so I plugged in the AC adapter (a USB-C type charger). Instantly the system shutdown and I could not power it back on again. Stone cold dead.

I contacted their support and within 10 minutes they were setting me up for a complete replacement of the system.

I'll admit that I'm disappointed in what happened to the machine, but so far have been impressed with how quickly they are working to resolve the issue.

Just curious about other people: Have you generally had good experiences with Lenovo?

Over the years I think that I have owned at a minimum about 40 or 50 laptops but this is my first experience with Lenovo.

Personal view, but I tend to shy away from tech that originates ownership from China.

This in the past when I had lots of stock options and more $ than I had common sense. I would by a new laptop every few months but I don't do that any longer :-)
