How to force stop an external hard drive for easily safe ejection/removal?


I find that signing out almost always stops any of those hidden processes that may be locking the drive, then I just sign back in an eject it.

I get an error that the drive is busy
After reading this topic, as far as I can tell, no one has yet mentioned that indexing is disabled for the external drive. Or is it implied that this is how it is by default?

After reading this topic, as far as I can tell, no one has yet mentioned that indexing is disabled for the external drive. Or is it implied that this is how it is by default?
Disable the writing cache and indexing also ................try again after reboot 🛠️
