Assuming you're on 23H2, and your CPU has the SSE4.2 Instruction Set...
Make a fresh backup first. (Optional, but a good idea.)
I used the Media Creation Tool to download the 24H2 ISO from Microsoft, and saved it to my desktop.
Then I right clicked it and chose: MOUNT
And... I just did an In-Place Upgrade from 23H2 to 24H2.
Use Option #2, the ISO method...
Repair Install Windows 11 with an In-place Upgrade
This tutorial will show you how to do a repair install of Windows 11 by performing an in-place upgrade without losing anything. If you need to repair or create a new recovery partition or having problems with the Windows 11 operating system on your PC, and the usual solutions will not fix it...

Some have had better luck using the "Installation Assistant", rather than the Media Creation Tool.
But I would try the MCT, first.

If you have any trouble with regular Cumulative updates after upgrading to 24H2, you can do the following...
Credit to @boombastik for figuring this out.
1) In Windows Update, disable the option: Get the latest updates as soon as they're available.
2) Restart the computer.
3) Search for updates.
4) This should allow the Cumulative updates to install without errors.
5) If you still have update errors after this... you have something else causing the problem.
May your enjoyment of 24H2 be at least as great, as your enjoyment of any other Feature Update.

Changes I noticed in 24H2...
These are personal tweaks, that MS undid with 24H2.
Except for the "warning" just below, you can skip this section if desired.
Had to re-disable... UAC, driver updates, and Telemetry.
I had removed the Recovery partition long ago. This put it back, so I removed it again.
24H2 re-added Microsoft Teams and Outlook, so I removed those with REVO.
EDGE took over a few things, that I had set to use Firefox as default. I fixed that.
Removed Windows.old with Disk Cleanup.
Had to re-add "Turn off display" to my right click context menu.
Had to re-remove "Pin to quick access" from Recycle Bin right click menu.
Had to turn off System Restore... again.
Last but not least... I had to remove Home from the Navigation pane in File Explorer, again.
NOTE: 24H2 adds a lot of video and image extensions. DO NOT REMOVE THOSE. ^^
