Solved How to install MS Office 2021 without Microsoft account

I am just completing the clean install of Windows Pro 22H2 completely offline (no internet) and without logging in or creating a MS account.
Coming up real soon is the installation of MS Office 2021. I have a license but in the past I have had to login to a Microsoft account to do the download / install. I want to avoid that if possible.

Any ideas please?

You need to login inside Office 2021 for it to activate I think.

Don't think so -- depends how you got install media. A valid product code is all that's necessary to activate it. If you are using one of those cheap ones with just a product code you might have to download / install online from Ms --this might need you to have an Ms account to install the product but you don't need to be logged in to Ms to use or activate it.

Why do people make life complicated - the whole "MS is spying on me and has access to all my stuff" has been proven to be rubbish?

Just create a temporary MS account, switch to it, do installation, switch back to local account.

I'm not bothered by the spying. It may or may not happen. My concern is the extra junk that MS tries to unload on you when you sign into them from an Office account. Most of it is junk that I will never use. So do you have some useful advice for me?

Back then you should have downloaded the disc image! Unfortunately you can no longer do that!
You can download the Offline installer, but, you'll still have to activate it via your MS Account.

They don't unload any junk on ya!
