How To Revert System Permissions to Default After Locking Myself Out?

I tried to delete a file by taking ownership & got carried away with all the settings. Now it seems I’m locked out of my own drive & my system doesn’t operate properly, i can’t manage my screen brightness, download apps, uninstall apps, & only a handful of settings working currently. I have went through a dozen restarts hoping it will go back to normal & nothing. So how do i restore the system permissions & ownership settings?

Bit hard though, maybe, if you can’t access anything. Use the reg file in the tutorial if at all possible, Adrian.

@antspants Yeah its a bit more ill have to do, Its been about 3 days & I can’t figure it out so hopefully the tutorial works. If anyone else knows how to fix or have suggestions please leave a comment. checking thread while applying settings right now

It’s a little quiet at the moment, usually gets more populated by members in a couple of hours.

But if you can access the PC to see the C: Drive, hopefully that context add-on will fix the issue.

A fresh install is good though, nothing like the smell of new paint, less the actual painting part though. Setting up is a bit monotonous. 🙏
