How to stop applications from adding/enabling Windows Firewall rules

Hi forum. Today I realized that Steam.exe adds two inbound firewall rules opening all ports from all sources on TCP and UDP for each game I install or update, no matter if the game has any inbound networking features. Even if I disable the rules, the next time I update a game, the rules for that game are reenabled. Is there a known way for me to prevent this behavior?

Hey there ageof, did you ever find the answer you were looking for? I think this is part of Steam and they likely do this to keep their games running and able to activate online. Is there an issue with leaving these ports open? You might have some luck checking out this guide for windows firewalls and seeing if it helps at all?
