Solved How to stop Brave on Android showing "Swipe for next story"

This happens randomly when browsing news items. I find it annoying having to tap on "Got it" every time to dismiss it.
I've turned off the
Accessibility setting "
Swipe between pages using a touchpad " but the popup still appears randomly..
Does anyone know how to stop it please?

I installed Brave on my Android and can't replicate the issue.
It might be a Google thing.

Guessing it's an app or website owned by a large media company? I get it when I browse
www.thisisplymouth.co.uk who are owned by Reach and it makes no difference if I use FIrefox, Edge, Brave or Vivaldi. I also have an iPhone 17 so it's also not an Android thing either.

Yes, I am fed up of tapping on 'Got it'. That's the reason for my OP.
I'm beginning to suspect it is a particular newspaper website that I visit but I haven't identified which one yet. I'll pay more attention and report back here when identified.

Update as promised: -
@markw51
I am now 99% sure that it is my local newspaper website, which is also owned by Reach. See photo.
It happened again this morning. Thanks for pointing me towards the culprit. I'll just have to accept it if I want to look at their website. It's their website after all. No one makes me read it, but it is annoying.
