How to stop notifications from Malwarebytes firewall control about Onedrive ?

Hi

At the start of Windows 11 I get a notification from Malwarebytes Firewall Control that OneDrive wants to access the internet. I always grant the permission, but later, when I boot again I get the same notification with different IPs...So how to grant permission to OneDrive once without getting more notifications?

Since you already choose Allow each time but the notification returns after reboot, I’d check whether Windows Firewall Control is actually creating a persistent rule for OneDrive. Open Malwarebytes → Tools → Windows Firewall Control → Rules and search for OneDrive. If there isn’t an Allow rule for the OneDrive executable, you can create one manually: select the OneDrive program, set Direction to Outbound and Action to Allow. Also check whether there are multiple or conflicting OneDrive rules. If an old rule points to a different OneDrive executable/path, that could explain why you are prompted again after restarting Windows. I’d check the existing rules first rather than disabling notifications completely.

Grant access to any IP, but the problem is that once updated, the location changes.

I do not have it installed anymore, because of stupid MS store apps, changing location as well, but you can customize already created rules or when it popups, customize it directly and there should be option to change from a specific IP range to any.

This won't be good for security, and there is a problem: OneDrive gets updated several times in short periods so the file path will also get updated.

Yeah, most likely for every single IP/domain, you can remove those and just allow the exe.

Technically OneDrive.Sync.Service.exe is not really needed for sync, only OneDrive.exe
OneDrive.exe does not change it's location, you could block OneDrive.Sync.Service.exe
It only gets updated once very few weeks, so you would always block it at that time.
Or you could just use automatic rules, which allow trusted (digitally signed) apps.

You could send feedback to MS, but I when I tried it, MS bot did not even understand the problem.
