How to take picture of document and turn it into PDF for email?

I have to take a picture of a document with my iphone and have it a PDF file and email it to myself. I always used my iphone and used the genius scan app for this. After taking the picture with genius scan, I would then enter my email that I want it to send to. For some reason, it doesn't seem to send? I click on the button to send it previously many times before this and this time it doesn't seem to work. I took another picture with genius scan and did the same thing... the pdf file was never sent to my email.


The pdf file is only about 1mb so it isn't big. Anyone know why I'm having these issues? I never had this issue with the genius scan app on my iphone.

Remove the image extension (for example, remove jpg from "image.jpg" at the end of the file name), then send the file. Open/Save the image (attachment/file with no extension) in your mail and add the extension (jpg). See if it works. I think something is happening like WhatsApp here. It doesn't send HiRes (HEIF/HEIC) images directly!

You could also check if the app has an update.

You have to select "Upload HiRes Image" first.

I use an extension for Chrome browser called Print Friendly and PDF. It comes up when you right click your mouse, you click PDF and save. It saves to Downloads as a PDF file. Problem solved, just attach to your email.
