How to update the bios on my notebook!!

Since I bought this notebook I have not updated the bios so in order to have secure boot working fine I need to update it! I have the folowing stuf on it "Secure boot is on but you have an older boot trust configuration that should be updated. There is not yet enough data to classify your device for automatic update. Then the link: Windows Secure Boot certificate expiration and CA updates - Microsoft Support and Suporte | VAIO Brasil . Could you help me somehow. Thanks very much anyway!!!!

Here ten points, just for filling out your computer specs.

And this bad boy is much better than a BIOS update. ^^
I just set one of these up for a friend... it reboots in 19 seconds, just to give you an idea.

It's running Win 11 Home 26200.8246

Upgrading the BIOS and upgrading secure boot have typically been separate methods.



Please perform the following steps:




1) Add WMIC:

DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:WMIC~~~~






2) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link








3) Run the V2 log collector > post a share link

That's a 7th gen cpu so it means the device is approx 9 years old. Manufacturers rarely release new bios updates for devices that old. OEMs typically support device BIOS for 3 to 5 years after a product is released, often narrowing down to critical security updates rather than new features after the first 2 years.

This model isn't a true VAIO. Apparently it's a re-branded Clevo N250JU that's sold in regional markets (like Brazil).
Which means you're not going to see a BIOS update for it.

Even though your machine is quite old, this doesn't mean that you have the last released version of BIOS. Start the System Information (msinfo32.exe) and look for BIOS Version/Date line, for example, on my laptop it shows "LENOVO EUCN41WW, 20/09/2023" (EUCN41WW is the last available version: while this machine is not very old and fully compatible with Windows 11, updates are no longer released by Lenovo). Then try to search your version by name on manufacturer's support page or in the Internet. You may find it in the list of all BIOS releases, then check if you have the last. If not, search for the last version by its name.
