i can't find an .inf driver file for the MSI B550M VC WIFI motherboard (motherboard drivers)

i keep trying to install windows, but it can't find the drivers to detect the system, so i try to get the drivers, but realize i need a .inf, and there's only a .exe.

i tried using the extraction method, can't find it.

i tried to get it from third party sources (DO NOT RECOMMEND), and there's no .inf files.
msi is stupid AND DOESN'T have .inf files available on their site.
so can someone please provide me with the .inf file, or help me with the installation, that would be nice.

I've read that MSI typically provides .exe installers rather than .inf files.

Do you mean it can't detect the drives on which to install windows on? If that be so, it is not motherboard drivers it is looking for, it is your
RAID drivers. For Intel it is Intel Rapid Storage Controller drivers )(also called the F6 driver.) For AMD, which I believe you have, it is AMD Raid drivers.

See step 10 here for explanation and AMD link. Clean Install Windows 11 You put the drivers onto a usb drive, select "add drivers" during install and point to the usb drive where you put the drivers.

Unless one actually uses RAID, I find it much easier to disable RAID in UEFI bios and set disk mode to AHCI which requires no extra drivers for the disks to be seen during install. It will default to using the Microsoft storage controller driver.

i'm not using RAID. i'm using AHCI.

also it says "install DRIVER to show hardware" so that means i need some sort of motherboard driver, not a nvme drive driver.
