I can't open .bat files.

I can't open batch files. When I do it says you cannot run this file on this version. I am on windows 11 22H2

Without seen the batch script or the error message, it will be difficult to assist you also execute the batch script from Command Prompt.

1 You say open not run. Is that correct? You cannot read their contents?
2 Please post a screenshot of the error message.
3 Please tell us the full path and filename-with-extension of some of the batch files you cannot open.
4 Please open a Notepad window and drag & drop a batch file into it. It should open without executing so you can read it.
